Fergana Valley CTN participated at the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF), Central Asia’s largest tourism trade show, that took place from 21 – 23 November, 2024. GIZ Uzbekistan, through the consulting consortium of mascontour GmbH and Helvetas Germany Intercooperation Gmbh, supported the CTN stand at TITF 2024.

CTN actively promoted the organization, its unique approach to regional tourism development, its members and what makes Fergana Valley such a unique destination through the CTN stand and its different marketing materials.

The goal was to introduce to tour operators and other tourism stakeholders the diversity of travel experiences in Uzbekistan’s Fergana Valley and the how CTN’s diverse network of members, including artisans, tour operators, tour guides and accommodation, work together to provide a unique tourism offer. CTN Recommended Routes and experiences are immersive and focused on connection to local people, culture and communities.

In addition, CTN also participated in a panel discussion hosted by GIZ Uzbekistan on tourism development in the Fergana Valley. The event included opening words from Sardor Niyazov, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee and Beate Schoreit, GIZ Uzbekistan Program Director. A panel discussion followed that included European tour operators who shared insights from their recent FAM Trip in Fergana Valley. CTN members Dildora Khudaynazarova (D’Tour) and Sadafbek Husanboyev (Dilrabo Travel) joined the panel discussion to share perspectives on diversifying the tourism market, opportunities for new tourism product development, enhancing the region’s visibility, and fostering sustainable, community tourism.
